Well considering that Deep Blue simply beat Kasparov by being faster and more accurate at evaluating a large but finite and very well defined set of moves, and not through any application of intelligence, your first sentence doesn't hold up.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
