I accept the possibility of a supernatural deity. But the lack of evidence for one is Why I am an atheist. It's not a conscious decision. It's not even something you should aim for. Just dare to question your beliefs and examine the bedrock of your religion. Not to aim to become a better christian or to become an atheist, but to understand. And see where it leads you.
