Because the bible doesn't assign god a gender i hear god is a guy a lot but there is no conclusive proof in the book(s).
He has to be a male to be able to fuck his own mother to give himself birth. Any non-male god would not need to be so supernaturally incestious.

Only the monotheistic culture placed sole importance on the male while making the woman irrelevant.
Polytheistic cultures like the Hindu? The classical Greeks with their numerous powerful and vindictive female deities hardly respects mortal woman as anything more than the dirt in which a man can plant his seed and have something useful come out of it.
