Don't be so hard on yourself for this one. If there is no one else around and you can proceed safely, you have my permission.
I used to do it regularly at one light right off the freeway, going to work, at o'dark hundred. That sucker would be red for 15 minutes. I look around- no cars- I'm gone. I stopped first (always) and then went probably 50+ times at that light. I'll post this emoji before I get the hate.
