And we're seeing people blame CNN?
For a publicly identifiable racist?
What?
Yeah, fuck you too dyresand. You're why I left Reddit. Nothing is free online. Not even racism or calls for violence. Say that shit when publicly identifying yourself, you asked for it.
It's called "accountability".
If you don't want that, don't fucking post PUBLIC INFORMATION of your identity. Is this someone's first day on the internet? Because it's always been this way.
Let me clarify a few things because you are mad at me. Okay 1. i didn't defend the guy 2. CNN clearly made a threat 3. CNN violated said persons privacy and ended up getting the wrong person.
If you look further into what's happening you would be pissed off they had a third party do the investigation since CNN and time warner a thing they had a third party do the "investigation" and got the reddit users IP. Note we had regulations put in place so stuff like that couldn't happen now our IP internet data is out there for anyone one to buy. I am not saying what that reddit users posts were good or funny you overlooked that and said fuck you. I never said it was good all i am is what the fuck there is tons racist shit out there CNN could attack but as soon as someone makes a meme about them they get defensive. CNN has lost a large chunk of their credibility they will go after anything. There is way more racist shit on reddit they could put a spot light on but they put on one reddit user. And i certainly don't agree with all the internet deregulation that has been happening lately even with our IP and other data being sold.
and yes i do agree there is a accountability problem on both sides more so lately on CNN because they need to actually report the god damn news instead of making shit up.
The news is a important entity to people and for people not to trust the media that is wrong in a democracy. On the redditor side yeah they should have accountability to what they post
and Trump slamming the CNN logo was hilarious it was satire.
