The document itself can't make up its own fucking mind about practically anything so using any of it as a guide to anything is all the indication a person would need to determine that those who claim to follow it are certifiably nuts.
The committee that wrote the original Bible in 692 A.D. inserted those things to prove that it was a practical joke. Once they put it all down in ink on vellum it became reality and no one was the wiser because there were no competing written stories. Today we can easily identify all of the nonsense because we have computers to do search comparisons. In the past people only read a little bit at the time and so the never saw the big picture. And they didn't allow common people to read the Bible for about 1,000 years. Today we can see that for every issue there is an opposite pov. When it says don't kill the next story is a slaughter.
Already knew most of that, but it still doesn't change anything about my previous statement. It can't be taken seriously in the first place if you have to flip a coin about every issue since you can find justifications for and against every one of them.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
