Go back and look at the OP, it's about St. Columba, not Jesus. The issue raised wasn't whether or not St. Columba existed, but if the historical accounts of his life are factual.
That being said I'm sure you can find events attributed to Washington or Lincoln that aren't factual.

That being said, comparing Washington and Lincoln to St. Columba is still ridiculous. The amount of evidence for Washington and Lincoln's words and deeds is infinitely more available and reliable than Columba.
Oh, and you can find words and deeds that are attributed to me today that are false. But the way we can tell if they're false or not is with evidence. Having no evidence either way isn't a point in favor of Columba. It's a point against.
