The DEMS need to have a plan. I think most of them, especially the leaders, are just as opposed to single payer as Republicans.
They are in the minority. They are not going to enact their plan which, honestly, they already enacted in 2010. Can it be improved? Probably. But really it was a first step. It was what could be done at the time. I don't know if they are "just as" opposed to single-payer as republicunts... and neither do you. However, there are probably quite a few who don't think it is possible and, with the entire government in the hands of the fascists, they are probably right. So some sort of short term fix might be best in the long run.
