I don't think "turning the other cheek" in reference to violence was "stirring the pot".
In fact, I think modern christians who resort to violence rather than "turning the other cheek" are not christ-like at all.
Except when they emulate his behavior when he was chasing money changers out of the temple. They really like getting hands-on when it comes to dealing with their perceived enemies.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
