When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised, the Lord doesn’t work that way. So I just stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

It might help some mentally,but wasn't it already a common fact that prayer doesn't do or help anyone physically?

I wonder if I could get a government grant to on a study where I myself and others both near and far clck their heels and wish for me to have a muscular, lean olympian body while I remain in one spot and do nothing but surf the internet and eat taco bell.
I suppose if the government is going to throw away my tax dollars, they may as well do it on a pointless study where I can at least get my hands on that money.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
