That the trumpsters cast their votes out of bigoted and irrational fears is just a brute fact. I don;t see why any decent human being would stop bitching about that - but...I agree with you to some extent in that when dems legitimately get trounced - and not by voter suppression or district packing and cracking..it;s a testament to how shitty their candidates and campaigns are. Obviously, even the bigots have enough shame to constantly protest to being called out for what they are...and given a suitable chance to not overtly expose themselves -as- bigots they'd probably take it.
I say that, but, otoh, they had about a dozen chances in the last presidential election...and they went with hur dur, brown people...all the same. So, maybe that;s just me being optomistic and yall will continue to overtly cast your votes in support of bigotry no matter what while simultaneously denying what very clearly goes to the fabric of who you are.
In any case, all I see in the above..and the many comments like it from all corners of the alt right, amounts to little more than a toothless threat. Stop calling bigots bigoted or you'll keep losing. Well, if that were true, it would only mean that the dems had finally taken a principled stand to their own political detriment - which is something that they get roundly (and rightly) criticized for not doing. The choice being to lose with dignity or win under shame, I'd take the former over the latter if I were a dem...particularly in the knowledge that there simply won;t be enough of you guys in the coming election cycles to continue to impose your pre-civil rights vision of america. Some things cannot be negotiated over or compromised upon. IMO, that;s one of them. If winning means accomodating institutional racism, then a person should have the decency to fucking lose.
Thing is, I don;t think it does. The dems havent been losing because they call bigots bigots, they certainly didn;t lose the popular vote now did they? They lose because they've allowed the batshit rightwing bigots to control a narrative about them. That;s changing. In kentucky, we've got a hard ass marine corp combat pilot who's friendly on biz and tough on defense.... running against a sniveling traitorous pussy of a republican. Even the bigots are going to have a hard time pulling the lever for a rep they already hate over someone who conforms to their every american fantasy. OTOH, she is a girl.., and I;m sure that she'll probably get called a secret lesbian despite having a nice big family of her own, so maybe they'll do it again, lol....and after having discharged their civic duty of keeping such a terrible bad person from office, they'll go back to their super righteous christian homes and dl as much lesbian pron as their bandwidth can handle...which aint much, since the republicans keep shitting on our internet development earmarks.
