Have you got any evidence to back your statement?
There simply is no concept of hierarchy or an ascension to a higher state of being in the theory of evolution, no teleology. Only branches of species who evolve or go extinct according the the environment *at that particular time*. That's why the idea that we are the pinnacle of evolution is nonsense.
Forget the hierarchy and the teleology concept which don't make sense but the belief that.............There simply is no concept of an ascension to a higher state of being in the theory of evolution?
Who told you that once our body die is all over and a higher state can not be reached?
If the concept of the evolution that you believe in stop short at the human level then is an evolution that hasn't reach the peak of human emancipation and therefore is worthless.

How on hell can you understand evolution when you think that with the physical death is all over?
Can you see a dead consciousness next to these bodies?
Funny how scientists never conduct experiments on live humans by decapitating their heads. If surviving death were possible then such an experiment would be possible.
Hate to burst your bubble but you are nothing more than your brain in motion. No activity beyond that narrow window, you do not come back, which is why you will never see a decapitated human come back.
Why on earth......... a decapitated human would come back in the same human form?
Have you ever seen a wreck come back as it was before?
Everything get recycled and a new body can born out the old one beside energy and consciousness never die.
I guess you never thought about that Brian, did you?
