Humans have the free will so whatever we do affect us in the good or the bad.
We are stuck inside a body so it is obvious that we have to put up with that and if we take the wrong decision we suffer.
Our consciousness lose and it fade away according to the damage that we have done.
Also the opposite happen if we do the right thing.
In this case our consciousness gain and become stronger.
Humans do have choices in life, but there is no sky hero vs super villain battling over the neurons in your brain as if you are a poker chip.
I am an atheist, but I have no violent felonies, haven't even had a speeding ticket since 1999. How is it I can avoid harming others then if I don't buy you sky hero claims?
Here's how, because I am not making bets on fictional super heros, and I accept because of my own natural empathy that life goes better when you don't harm others. I don't need an old book of mythology to tell me not to hurt other humans.
