There are just way too many of these folks walking around. Superstitious thinking and beliefs cause problems. I came up with a saying: "Unfounded claims to truth, when acted upon, have consequences." Like those idiots in a church in North Carolina that tried to beat the gay out of their parishioners because they were so-called "possessed by demons." They are on trial now for physical abuse and assault charges.

I believe that Billy's daughter was referring to the church of America not the nation as a whole. She understands that God works with His people and expects us to deliver His message to others. She said as much in the article when she stated, "we should repent and share the gospel with our neighbors."

The natives then did everything he asked. So on the occasion when an old-timey shaman or mystic managed to get something right, that's all they needed to trick entire civilizations into buying their shit.
That is the way of Christianity. Deceiving others into their deception.

The next eclipse in the US will be in 2024 going from southwest to northeast in the eastern half of the country.

Yes, starts in eastern Texas, ends up past Maine into Canada. April of 2024. Go here for more info: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/solar-eclip...4-america/

What Gawdzilla said. The moment anyone on the planet provides actual proof of any of these theistic miracle fables, the game is over. No more preachers needed. But even if you prove the existence of a bright celestial event, you don't prove Jesus existed. So we still need proof of God's existence, proof of Yeshua/Issa/Yasu's existence AND he needs to show up, preferably on live TV. Oh yeah, and he'd have to do something that hasn't been faked - walking across a swimming pool has been done to death.
I much prefer this analysis of Dave Reneke's work, it's logical, it's scientific. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badast...ZSj-yiGOUk
The Christian god supposedly created the entire freaking Universe but could not muster up that same power to save nine black people IN A CHURCH from dying of gunshot wounds by a white racist mother fucker. Now that, my friends, is fucking love.

I will amen that! Can I hear another amen and a goddamn my brothers and sisters?! Or a simple fucking A will do.
