Game of Thrones Season 7 Discussion [SPOILERS WITHIN]

[...]Anyone else thrown off by the Tyrion outside the door scene near the end there? He seemed bothered by Jon and Dany hooking up, but the character has no reason to be. It was weird and unlike him, unless I read the scene wrong and they just wanted to show that he noticed.

Perhaps Tyrion - like many of us, viewers - caught a glimpse of the sh*tty, worn-out, fairy-tale cliche, that this show is apparently going to go out on. Dark, brooding, violent prince with a busty blonde sperm-receptacle on his arm. Yay! Jon Snow is no longer a bastard. Yay! Daenerys is not actually barren (I mean - Jon Snow didn't bring this up without a reason, this is not a show with any kind of nuance or subtlety anymore; next season - 100% - her uterus will be primed and ready to squirt out as many inbred princelings as is deemed necessary). Oh, I just can't wait for all the diabetes-inducing "happily ever-afters", that will undoubtedly please all those viewers, who only ever want to hear the same story, over and over - the story of sexual attractive, high-born people getting married and having attractive, high-born children, preferably with some nice explosions in the background... 

I expect season 8 will continue sh*tting on whatever has been established earlier, for the sake of convenience and popular appeal. Prepare for the awesome twists yet to come.  Samwell is not actually fat. Tyrion was never really a dwarf. Bran is no longer crippled. Jamie's hand, as well as Theon's and Grey Worm's genitals grow back. Ned Stark has been alive this entire time. And the Nightking's army is defeated by Ewoks... 

This show turned out to be a big bait-and-switch. And I'm guessing the creators see it in pretty much the same way. They took the job of adapting GRRM's books, all of which were supposed to be out by now - and they were doing a good job of it. They didn't sign up to create the last third of the story practically from scratch, in a relatively short amount if time - and they're clearly not great at this. I'll bet they can't wait for the show to be over and done with, so that they can focus on spending all that money.

I get the vague impression you didn't take too kindly to s7, for some reason.
