Texas' war on regulations is the reason that a lot of these plants are there in the first place. On the Rachel Maddow show just last night they were recounting how the company had just yesterday refused to release a report about what chemicals were stored at the plant. Rachel was waiting for the plant to blow up. I know what her lead tonight will be!
Anyone remember when a fertilizer plant blew up in West, Texas? Know what the governor's response to that was? They dropped the requirement that the listing of stored chemicals on the site be made available to the public!
