It's at times like this that "jointly and severally liable" clauses should be enforced and lomited liability removed.
I have zero credit cards. But then again, I also have already had a flag placed on my reports long before this ever happened. All three bureaus must notify me in the event that anyone tries to use my credit reports, social security numbers or anything else, to obtain credit. That is something that I have renewed every year, for my own protection. That and I also check my own credit reports free once a year, on my birthday (keeps it simple and easy to remember).
I don't have excellent credit, but what I do have, I don't want screwed up.
