The truth is, in the olden days people lived with their own kind. Blacks with blacks, asians with asians, and whites with whites.
Even among white people this was more stratified. Italians, Jews, Poles and Irish all lived with each other. Im a little iffy and "up in the air" on how white those groups even are. I suppose the Irish are and have been for step past 60 years or so. The others...well Italian is really more of a hispanic if you think about it..... Never mind.
I just people sometimes don't take others feelings into account.
Whether you like it or not, America is a Christian nation. I don't like the fact it is, but it is all the same. The founders were Christians of a sort, or at least had Christian backgrounds.
All senators, generals and Supreme Court Justices are Christians.
I think the other religions (and non religions) should be able to live here so long as they don't cause any mischief or threaten the order of Christian America.
If there were just some pass system or marker, so that the non Christians could be ID'd. not persecuted..Just known.
Idk... a lettering system maybe? No uniforms only a lettering system.
Im thinking "J" for Jewish, "I" For Islamic, "M" for Mormon and finally"RC" for Roman Catholic. And so it goes.
As near as I can tell they are already guests in a culture not their own. They stand out demographically and maybe should be made to stick out so they are reminded of just where they live.
Though many folks here are Atheist, you are Christian in the sense you were likely raised that way or it is your culture. I am certain you celebrate Christmas and easter if not a little bit.
Please let me know, or if the moniker of "Atheist Christian" makes any sense
I'd be more rightly described as pagan, since that's the background I originally came from, and celebrating Christmas and Easter comes from far earlier pagan festivals.
