So do you believe there is a significant universal set of thoughts only shared by atheists which are holding them back? I'd be interested to hear what those are. I don't think of atheism as informing any of my thoughts. Rather, I am called an atheist simply because one kind of belief is missing from mine that is present for theists.
No, I don't believe that. theists and atheists are affected. I think it is because of early childhood indoctrination. every society does the same. children and adult members of the society are repeatedly told what things mean, what they are, what they should be, what to think, what to believe, over since over. nobody is allowed to disagree with the indoctrination. As a consequence, most people cannot see certain possibilities.
Congrats on not buying the theist nonsense there is out three. I did, for a long time, and i regret it. It was a waste of my youth.
