YOU CAN teach history WITHOUT glorifying human cruelty.
Monuments are NOT simply history lessons, they are giving thanks and saying what they did was good. SLAVERY WAS NOT GOOD.
The way you teach history is what the African American Museum does. The way you teach history is what the Holocaust Museum in D.C. does. You teach it in history books, and documentary movies WITHOUT glorifying or giving thanks to those who commit those horrible acts.
