If the answer to any of that is no - then how about toning down the hostility some and engaging in a debate like grown ups? Seriously we do have several teens on these boards and is this level of hatred really the sort of thing you all want to impress upon them?
I seriously hope not. Two of the teens on this board happen to be my sons and when they come to me and start questioning why there is so much hate between a bunch of people that will most likely never see each other face to face, I have to work hard to give them honest answers.

No, I will not apologize for standing up to an asshole politician whom wants to take us back to Jim Crow, McCarthyism and scapegoats like Goebbels. Not my baggage that 45's supporters cannot see how dangerous his political rhetoric is. We have seen where political vilification has gone in history, and it never ends well.
If 45s supporters want civil conversation, they need to start by telling him to shut the fuck up.

Nominated an anti LGBT homophobic asshole bigot for VP
Attacked the service of John McCain, and even now that he is dying of brain cancer, still insults him because he didn't vote to fuck over citizens on health care.
Threatened political rivals
Shit on 17 intel agencies
Attacked sitting judges with no record of impropriety
Vilifies journalists the watchdog that keeps the west free.
Calls black NFL players "Sons of bitches".
I'd prefer civility from our politicians, but it requires the head diplomat which is what a president is, to do that, and right now, he is not doing that. 45 is treating the office like his own personal episode of Jerry Springer.
So my attitude is if you support 45, your problem is him, not me. I will not apologize for standing up to a political bully.
