Catholisim, the Bible is interpreted by the Church, the Church tells you what they think is good, (I, in New York assume things are pretty good)
Protastanism is your own individual study, I dont know why everyone must see the bible so differently in one denomination
This is a courageous post, so thank you for posting this, and here, no less. I want to address, as a Protestant Christian, that last point - the Bible is very clear on a lot, but there are some areas that are up for interpretation, and everyone has a different background with a lot to offer. People's views change over time, as my own have - I was a staunch atheist once upon a time. I know what it is to be in your shoes. And I can say that where I am, things are better now.

It always makes me laugh my balls off when one of you shills says "oh yeah, I was an atheist too, hurr durr derpy derp". If you were a genuinely mentally sound and rational person, you'd never have turned to theism, so all you're doing is giving us reason to doubt both your sincerity and intelligence. Maybe think about that approach; I would say it comes across as condescending but it gives you away as too big a jackass to bother giving you the slightest credit. If you end up not lasting long here, I won't be surprised at all. You won't be making a profit off anyone here who's worth a damn.
