I saw a bumper sticker once that read: Get off my ass or I'll flick a booger on your windshield.
Really? You know what happens when you assume things, don't you?
1. You are assuming that a baby on board sign is strictly there in case of an accident. But while you're making that claim - where's the facts to back up that that is the reason that particular sign is used?
2. You are assuming that everyone who sports that sign automatically thinks that infant lives are more valuable than anyone else's, a claim that has no facts backing it up.
3. You just let the entire forum know that you have no problem with hitting a car with an infant inside of it, even if you could avoid doing so, simply because you are "offended" by a six inch diamond shaped sign. How utterly compassionate of you.
It's just a sign. The fact that you take three paragraphs to describe your over-reaching and overwhelming disdain and contempt for a sign that someone else has the right to put in a car that belongs to them shows just how butt hurt you really are. And evidently that butt hurt reaches concerning levels.
You read way too much into shit like this and tbh- I had a baby on board sign when my oldest, now 22, was an infant. It was just a sign. And it certainly wasn't in my car for all of the reasons you suggest. I was a first time mom and I was proud of that fact. It had nothing to do with anything else.
You don't like the sign? Great. Don't put one in your car. But to announce that you literally have no issues with possibly causing injury or even killing someone in an otherwise avoidable accident, all because you don't like their sign - that's some troubling shit, man.
Next thing we know you'll be offended at those New Mom Parking signs that can be seen in some grocery store parking lots.

Well, it goes like this:
I never considered the possibility that the vehicle owner meant to convey the message that in the event of an accident, first responders are requested to see to the safety of the baby before any adults or more mature children in the vehicle. I think such a message should be conveyed more clearly because IMHO, the message is more likely to be interpreted as, "There is a baby aboard this vehicle and as a baby, his/her life is more precious than the lives inhabiting other vehicles on the road. Therefor, if you are driving carelessly and find yourself in an inevitable crash situation, please make an effort to crash into one of the other vehicles around you rather than this one as the lives of the occupants of the other vehicles are not as valuable because they are not infants."
Sorry, but that is offensive to me. It doesn't make me "butt hurt" that much. I would be much more inclined to be "butt hurt" if the other car had a "Trump - Make America Great Again" sticker. In that case, I would be likely to aim for the target vehicle if an accident was inevitable. But the "Baby On Board!" sign would definitely not make me inclined to go out of my way to avoid that vehicle.
I find the implication that infant human life is intrinsically more valuable than more-developed human life offensive and objectionable. It doesn't mean I would be necessarily less inclined to regard someone holding that view as a friend. I sure as hell would not be favorably inclined to the occupants of a vehicle displaying that sign though.
