As a Midwesterner it is sometimes difficult for me to understand people in the South. People in the Midwest tend not to "wear their religion on their sleeves." It's an attitude I often question as the culture becomes more hostile to religious expression and the free exercise of religion. (No, I don't feel persecuted just apprehensive) There is a big difference between a secular society and a godless one. I think the Freedom From Religion folks are very misguided.

It's pure peer pressure in the South when it comes to religion. They don't ask you if you go to church, they ask you which church you go to.
