I didn't justify it, but to believe compassion is good or goodness or praise of a human being or condemning Hitler all requires belief in free will. Sufficient to say I will take it for granted most Atheists acknowledge they have some free-will and are even certain of this fact.
It isn't that you personally didn't justify it, it is more that the existence of free will is one of the chief unanswered questions in philosophy. Belief in the things you mentioned may indicate free will, but could just as easily be deterministic. There simply isn't any agreed upon way to tell if a given action is the cause of the will of a free agent, or if the act was preordained from the beginning of the universe.
