There are about 600 more of those commandments, not all of them pretty. Wiping out most of humanity is not love. Torturing people for eternity because they can't make sense of book full of contradictions is not love. Admit it, you read it with prejudice also. So, if the bible says different things, depending on how you read it, it sounds useless for anything except a negative example to prospective writers.
