Baha'i faith

On one of our daily walks around the 'hood, we came across a lovely sign in someone's front yard.
It had a nice message about how we are part of the greater world - painted with a tree, a rainbow and some fish.
Took a pic and moved on.
Came home, noticed in the corner of the sign was a website for the Baha'i faith (which I had never heard of, looked up...not impressed)
I feel duped. A pretty sign lured me in!

Many years ago I worked with a guy (religious refugee from Iran-his dad worked for the Shah)- who was of that faith. He explained how the various religious figures (Whomever, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, etc.) were all simply prophets of the one true god. If I got that statement wrong, don't sue me, because they're all bullshit. I did tell him though, that it kind of puts all those religions to shame for making the rules for all the differences between them. Didn't win any appreciation for that. It's all well and good that Baha'i encourages the brotherhood of man, but they haven't gotten very far, given the stridency of the rest.

Humankind is a brotherhood. It's just that is a completely dysfunctional family where nobody talks to each other. And they're angry at each other over something profoundly inconsequential. But hey, possessions are thicker than blood.

They also have big issues with homosexuality and sex outside of marriage.
Another "religion" that spends a significant amount of time thinking about how genitalia is used.
