I did focus; and said: we don't actually know. So I'll side with what prophet Mohammed peace be upon him said in the Quran that Mary was innocent from the dirty ideas of some.

When, nine months later, a human being was born................From the natural operation of mating; aka sex between male and female. Here is where Marry and Jesus are a miracle: the kid didn't come out from a sexual operation like other kids.
I'd tell you not to be silly, but I'm pretty sure..based upon the fact that you believe in talking angel infants and the post above...that my suggestion would fall on deaf ears.
Silly silly; if you believe that. I find it silly also to believe that the universe is empty, and that God doesn't exist.
Why would that be silly? Unless you know of immaculate conception happening before, it should be silly to believe otherwise. Unless you also accept all the other cases, like Julius Caesar, etc. No wonder you believe what you do; you seem to equate "silly" with critical thinking.

There are ten commandments. It doesn't tell the whole story but it does a good job of summarizing the overall contents.

I disagree with your interpretation. If you think about it, the things you disagree with are the same things that led our world up to this point where someone gave birth to you and here you are telling me this, if those things didn't happen you wouldn't even be alive to type that.
Quote:Admit it, you read it with prejudice also.
Not at all. Cherry picking aside I don't find anything wrong with the overall message. Bible only teaches us to love.
Quote:So, if the bible says different things, depending on how you read it, it sounds useless for anything except a negative example to prospective writers.
If you read it like just another "book" it's just going to sound like any other book. The Bible is called the holy Bible for a reason. I read it without any prejudice and I agreed with it, I honestly don't know why the experience was different for you, to each his own I guess.
"Does a good job"?! For who? For someone who only wants the bible to say what they want to believe?

You're making no sense. What am I disagreeing with that caused me to be born?

It's called holy because someone called it that. No other reason.
So you read it without knowing anything about christianity? Because there is no way someone can honestly read it and, through critical thinking (hell, thinking at all), come to the conclusion it is a true story.
