If gender -weren't- a social construct, how could any of the above -possibly- be true? Food for thought. If gender -is- a social construct...as the above strongly suggests it is.......then whats the problem with non-conformity, again?
How is gender a social construct, when we are born with different organs?
Race -for example- is a social construct. Because it's a mere color change to the same organ (skin).
Height discrimination -for example- is a social construct. Because it's a mere length concerning the same organs (legs).
Gender -on the other hand- is a genetic difference; with difference in organs; with a difference in hormone production.
That's what Mathilda and Catholic_Lady were arguing about. If the sexual organs are the same -like Mathilda suggested- then it's a social construct, like race.
So; heh?
