Yes hot things cause pain, provided you have skin to touch with, nerves to carry the signal, and brain to interpret it, all of which however are non-existent in a soul/spirit.
Who knows, God might exist and he isn't a sadist, but the one who simply erases souls like JW's believe. It's impossible to believe in a sadist god because your possibly F big time then...
