While there may be some justification in believing that some people with male genitals have female brain structures*, I cannot think of any way to justify the notion that people can be whatever race they want to be, other than recognizing 'race' as the social construct that it actually is. Do liberal/progressive types think this kind of post-modern approach to identity is valid?
*The notion that there is a specifically female brain seems like a can of worms for feminism.
Race is not a social construct and neither is gender. Your genetics do, in fact, date back to different societies. Race even sometimes comes with certain characteristics(other than appearance, which obviously makes race stand out) such as Native Americans being more prone to alcoholism. It isn't a social construct.
However, your race has no affect on your intelligence or the way you act, therefore you cannot be trans-racial.
As opposed to gender. Men and women have different brain structures, which means it is not a social construct, which means gender dysphoria can(and is) a real disorder(which is why transgenderism is a thing).
