I agree it's not cool, but I'm too libertarian to say it should be illegal. If someone wants to do it, they should be allowed, imho.
Yes. For some its a way out. A person who enjoys fighting, has a place for it. Its far better than fighting on the streets with people who want no part of it. Imagine what would've become of a Mike Tyson or George Foreman if boxing never existed. In some gyms they train kids and teens for free. A lot of these kids are inner city kids looking for a way out. Boxing and martial arts installs discipline and confidence which can be carried in other areas of life. It keeps them away from gang activities and drugs.
