Rationality doesn’t need to be cold, or amoral. Empathy is an evolutionary trait, and concepts like doing no harm (or the least amount of harm possible) and respecting others’ boundaries/consent don’t need any special/divine underpinnings. There’s a reason why there’s so many secular humanists.
Regarding declarative statements, no, we don’t know with 100% certainty that there isn’t anything more. But it’s really hard to have a conversation if there’s a need to point out the caveat. It’s shorthand.
There are no atheist bishops. Like Khem, I’ve never read anything from those authors. Outside of this site, I don’t seek fellowship with other atheists. There are no rites or rituals for me to perform, or tenets to follow.
