I don't really see the draw either. I think mountains are beautiful and hiking through them at a relatively low elevation of 7,000 feet is plenty exhilarating. Anything else seems like vanity.

When it comes to risking my life for stupid shit that no one will ever give a damn about - I'm out, and I'm sure as hell not going to go fetch somebody's body for some attempt at vain glory. Clearly the relatives and friends of 200+ people feel the same way as I do.
