How do you reconcile your god, the mass murderer?

Yes, the Bible is the most abused and the most loved book, and it is not possible to read it without some difficulty at some time. 

There is another aspect of the Bible, it is the medium or instrument provided by God, to speak to the mind. The pages are just words, and difficult passages, but if you connect with God through prayer, the difficult passages will be made plain to you, as evidence that you are being educated by the Spirit.

I'm not sure what passages would be difficult, or require the assistance of ghosts to read.  You mean..the ethnic cleansing and sex trafficking stuff?  

Just an academic approach, or any other attitude in reading, puts the reader in the position of getting it wrong, at the cost of their own salvation.
Because of this the Bible is called a double edged sword, it cuts both ways, it destroys the proud, and saves the humble.

It sounds to me like you might be a book worshipper.   Magic book does this, magic book does that.  You know what I think it does?  Sits on the shelf.    

Of course, they can do what they want now, without any indication that they have forfeited their future security.
And it is this lack of consequence that is seen by many as proof that there is no such thing as Divine Authority.

Well, that and you folks are always promising a dollar tomorrow for a hamburger today, while blaming all of your own simplemindedness of some "god". But..sure, yeah..it's that too. The list is long.

But the Bible is the Authority of God on earth, and it is obvious that it can be trashed quite easily, but if treasured, it provides the direct connection to heaven.

Then I won't mind not going to heaven. I don't need to die to worship a despot, I could do that right here on earth. So imma go ahead and keep reading magic book for what it is. You can tell yourself pretty lies about it all you like, and then -you'll- have a "difficult passage" to handle, but not me. You might need to ask a ghost to tell you what it means. Not me. You might worry that you'll get thrown into the pit by your loving god for getting it wrong. Not me.

They do pray, god tells them they have it right and the other guys are full of shit.  Apparently, he tells them -all- that. The guy appreciates a good joke.
