Tell me can't you see how the Bible was relevant to Luther and others and relevant to Christians today even though science has shown us so much about the universe that they could not have known? The Bible was never intended to be a history book, it is a spiritual manual for Christians to live their lives by, and for the non-believer to find their way to God.

If it's terrible on history and science, why should I trust it on spirituality? If it can be wrong on the former, why not the latter? Again, you have given me no reason to take it seriously.
It's not terrible on history or science and like I said the Bible isn't for studying science or history. It is what it's always been intended for the study of spiritual things. Yes we can glean some history and some science from it but that's secondary to it's purpose. You do not want to admit it because then you would have no real reason not to study the Bible. Don't get offended but here's a reason, eternity with the only God who is so vast in all things that we will never be able to know all there is about Him or eternity in hell suffering from a life lead here without Him.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
