If heaven was a place where you only sit and praise God for all eternity, no one would believe in it. It would be boring! Could you imagine praising God for all the eternity without being able to sit up, take a break and eat an ice cream (alone)?
Nope! People think they'll get everything they want once they're dead. They think they'll never get sick and that they'll even get all the sex they want. Most christians will definitely deny it, but deep down in their hearts it's all they want! They want to be gorgeous, rich and healthy and that's why they are willing to give everything to their God because he's the one who's offering all those kind of things.
But the only thing they'll tell you about heaven is that it's a place where everyone gathers with their loved ones and sing kumbaya and no one ever suffers again for all eternity. They praise God and everyone is always happy! And that's it.
Dig deep into a christian mind's idea of what heaven is like and you'll find gorgeous women (if they're a straight man), endless money, never ending sex, a stream of never ending delicious food, cars, houses, pretty places, impeccable health, success and all that sht.
The sad christians (the ones who have lost a loved one) think they'll reunite with their dead family members in order to be happy, and what does that happyness consists of? Again: money, luxuries, singing, dancing, eating, etc.
I haven'f found a christian who believes that heaven is a place where you sit in front of God/Jesus and the only thing you do is pray all day long. If Hell offered them all those things I mentioned before, they'd rather go there, because people only want to get what they want! And sitting in front of God praying is certainly not at the top of their list! (well only if it gives them all those pretty things.)

Yes. The fantasy for most of the Pentecostals I was raised with. First, the rapture was going to happen, Jesus was going to take them straight to heaven, so they would never actually die. Then they would be re-united with their family members that stayed faithful. (God would not allow them to grieve over the ones that left the church. There is no sorrow or grief or loss or pain in heaven.) Then they would be shown to the most beautiful dwelling place imaginable. There is no hunger, no thirst, no want - whatever you desire, you get. Then at some point you would meet with Jesus and the angels and wise ones, and you could be taught anything you wanted. The light of God would permeate everything, and joy and peace would fill you so much that you would praise God constantly. Forever.
Even at 10 years old all I heard was "me me me". Eternal Christmas morning for ME, never mind the billions of souls being tortured forever, me me me.
