Back to the original topic, what is the evidence for the contention that “most” religions are against homosexuality?
The Greeks apparently thought men were morally superior to women, and superior men would feel attachment to other superior men rather than women. Thus homosexuality amongst men were superior to heterosexuality by moral principle. Furthermore the two were not incompatible, as heterosexuality is but a necessary duty for survival of the genes, where as homosexuality, at least amongst men, would be an honor and mark of moral attainment and elevation above the tyranny of base instincts.
