OP , I think this situation will be very good for you , in a way that you will be used to people having oposite views , I had to join this forum so that I could get that experience.
About reality , I have thinked about it a lot. It really doesn't help to get people out of their comfort , after all , life is allready painfull, no need to bring more pain. This is a slow proces that everyone needs to do by himself, doing it for them won't make a difference they'll just find another "shepard".
