If the man's position is that it's okay for him to feel that way, but that he wants help to not act on it/never intends to act on it, then I have nothing to add to his assessment. Thought crimes aren't a problem for me. I'd like it if he purposefully kept away from children at all times, though. Also, note that I believe viewing pornography (read: abuse) of that nature constitutes acting on it.
