My favorite is the Oberheim Xpander. Ever played with that beautiful creature?
Oh wow, that's a blast from the past. I didn't work with the Xpander but the Composition Class did get an Oberheim Matrix12 in the mid 1980's. It looks very much the same. I learned how to digitally multi-track on it. (In the early 80's I multi-tracked with TAPE . . . a 4-track machine . . . to edit you cut tape and spliced it back together. Now, all you have to do is cut and paste on the computer screen. So much easier.)
