Actually there is no substantial data to confirm , or to even point out that the enviroment or society has an impact on an individuals sexual orientation , it has an impact on his sexual behavior. Some like to speculate that sexual orientantion is determined in the placenta.
Even Freud that was fond of the Oedipus Complex didn't think that the complex establishes the orientation but the manifestation of the sexual orientation.
But most people who dissagre with this soo you can bluntly ask them, " What would you prefer a children to die in Africa or have same-sex parents ?" And you would probably put them in a dilema that acts on their emotions.
Edit: If they say " it is a dissease " , just run .
