Yes that sounds very familiar.
The earth appears to be flat, the sky appears to be blue, these are observations made by everyone on the surface of the planet... If that's enough evidence for them to believe in a flat earth and a blue sky, then they should question what actually constitutes evidence to them.
There is a saying- a wise man's eyes are in his mind. People need to think about what they can see, and what they can't see.
