It isn't war we should value as a default, but when your choice is fight a fascist or get run over, those who do need the labor to help them.
Even in not war times we do not value labor enough.
Not So Rosie Now, By Brian37 (AKA Brian James Rational Poet on FB and @brianrrs37 on twitter)
He had his money
Handed to him
His dad demeaned
A job his brother went in
"Glorified bus driver"
Is how he described it
An honest job
What is wrong with a pilot?
That famous bent bicep
Clinched determined fist
Naomi Paker
Workers are worth it
While president Bone Spur
Never spent
Any length of time
In labor with sweat
His language sounds like
What motivated Rosie
Rivets for
A fight against
The distruction of
Our western values
Roise is gone
He's still threatens us
Not what we should want
In politics
America needs
To value the worker
They talk of the Stock Market
They talk of gas prices
But that of factory workers
Retail and bus drivers
Wages are not
Keeping up
With the cost of living
To make workers Rosie
You're dad was wrong
Labor is valuable
Should not be demenaed
Not be devalued
So long Rosie
We will carry the torch
Push back against those
Whom seek to divide us
(end)
