... as far as I can tell, you haven’t made even the slightest effort to learn about our position.  You haven’t made any attempt to get to know any of us as people.  All I’ve seen you do is peddle the Bible, without reasonable justification to do so.

... you were lying just now when you said you didn’t know why we think what we think.  Clearly, you think you do know.  According to you, lack of god-belief is just a matter of exposure to ‘different social circumstances.’  You must think you had us figured out before you even registered here, am I right? So...rather than ask questions about our reasoning, and actually learn about our position, you’re just going to stick with the incorrect assumptions about atheism that you rode in on, and peddle your perceived solution to our “problem”: SDA.

I think that if you bothered to learn a thing about my position, you’d know that I lack a belief in any and all god claims made by humans; you’d know why I lack such a belief, and you’d understand that I reject the truth claims of all religions, equally.  If you’d known these things about me, you would have realized how silly it is to think that introducing me to yet another sub-sect of Christianity would actually change my mind about the existence of a God.

If you think I am lying, there really is no point in communicating to me is there?

You ask me why I'm at AF, my answer wasn't an invitation for you to start bickering. If you feel that I'm here to change your mind, that's really your perception and I'll leave you with your own thoughts.

You can only be accepted for what and who you are in the moment, without any changes, otherwise it isn't acceptance at all.
Christ gave the parable of the Shepherd who left the fold and went after the lost one.
God is interested in those who have nothing to offer except themselves as they are, without modification.
Because as soon as a change is required for love, it is no longer love, but a perverse recruitment.

And I repeat, how do you know any of this? You're making some pretty definitive knowledge claims; I want to see the justification for them.

The lost lamb caught in the thicket, possibly in the dark, surrounded by approaching predators, thirsty, really con't do a lot to save itself, it has to be rescued with unconditional concern for it. Sinners are in the same predicament, and they will not admit it.
That's why admitting we are sinners, is a new awareness,as opposed to being in denial and defiance.
