You cannot learn if you're dead. Sadly, people like you don't think children are worth protecting.
Cool talking point, bro. Got any other laughable pearls of ignorance you want to share?
Also, you do realize that our mass shootings are a symptom of larger problems, and that moving towards a police state does nothing to solve those problems? I mean, for a guy so obviously enamored with how smart he thinks he is, you don't seem to be grasping the actual issues at play.
So schools are hypothetically protected (they're not, but let's go with it). Cool. Now, parks are going to get shot up. Or hospital emergency rooms. Or more outdoor festivals. Or restaurants (remember France?). Or movie theaters. Or a million other soft targets. Are we going to guard all of them, too?
You want to help? I mean really help? Stop restricting access to healthcare. Stop punishing people with pre-existing conditions. Stop with the NIMBY bullshit when it comes to treatment centers. That, at the very least, would be a good place to start.
Armed guards in schools? It's a laughable band-aid. The best it could do is move an attack to a different location. Maybe not in school, but outside it. But the same people with the same mental makeup will be feeling the same anger and desperation, and will be making the same terrible choices. And how do I know this? Because guards don't address the underlying issues, issues that conservatives have always buried their heads in the sand about.
So, let me turn your insult back on you. You only care about security theater. I care about actually addressing the underlying issues that cause people to shoot up schools to begin with. Why don't you actually care about our kids?
