There's no muddling about it. If you're going to address gun violence you can't ignore the shooting deaths by criminals and gang members with illegal guns in cities like Chicago, for example, that have strict gun laws.

Should I also ignore all cities in the EU and elsewhere with gun deaths by criminals that are also likely to be with an illegal gun?

Fuck the EU and elsewhere. That's their concern. I'm saying that if we're going to take on the gun control issue here in the US you can't ignore the high gun violence by criminals and gang members with illegal guns in some of our cities with strict gun laws. Evidently the stricter gun laws aren't working in those cities. How would the pro gun control people deal with that issue?
