Incidentally, if we're going to hang the man by his words, let's at least use the words he actually wrote:

If that gives you offence, I'm sorry. You are probably not stupid, insane or wicked; and ignorance is no crime in a country with strong local traditions of interference in the freedom of biology educators to teach the central theorem of their subject."

Ahh quote mining thought that might be so . Though Dawkins does say stupid shit . He's a good biologist . But he should really stay off twitter and not give speeches .
