It's the name of a famous airplane battle over the English channel, during world war 2.
Also the name of a dos computer game about the same battle.

There's also Bob, from Black Adder, who is an obvious woman passing as a man.... Who Blackadder ends up liking, but gets taken away by Lord Flashheart. The name Bob was used, because Rowan Atkinson seems to have a certain difficulty with the B sound.
