If one, settling a pillow by her head,

But as if a magic lantern threw the nerves in patterns on a screen:

I always thought of Chris Hitchens as a fairly unstoppable force, until he wrote an article about losing his voice in his cancer battle and quoted lines from this one, and I felt my eyes well up:
